Chapter 5: Technology & Soccer
In earlier years, technology wasn't as prevalent as it is today. Our pastime was playing and spending time outdoors, engaging in physical activities. We had fewer technological distractions, and it was more common to see children playing outside than inside. At least in my case, we used to play soccer in the streets, in our deserted backyard, parks and anywhere we found ourselves the opportunity. There was more excitement to be outdoors than indoors for sure.
Nowadays, we can obtain entertainment through any device with just a click away from the commodity of our home. But it is also causing that children don't play outside as much and for someone who is thinking about wanting to take their game to the next level they must understand that the sport requires to invest many hours and not just from team practice but during your free time as well.
In a world where technology has reshaped how children spend their free time, we've adapted our approach to encourage them to embrace physical play and development. We make our training sessions fun and innovative so that they look forward to coming, leaving their devices behind for a while to engage in physical activities. Supplementary youth training programs such as ABFT have become essential due to these social changes.
Our philosophy centers around the belief that soccer, like any other skill, requires dedication and hard work to achieve excellence. We acknowledge the challenges that modern distractions and conveniences present, but we also see the opportunity to use technology as a tool to enhance their soccer experience. We aim to make our training sessions a place where they not only learn valuable skills but also build a sense of community and passion for the game. Our philosophy is not just about improving their skills; it's about nurturing their love for the game and providing a platform where they can develop not just as players, but as individuals. In this era of endless distractions, we strive to keep the spirit of soccer alive and thriving.
Our goal is to foster a love for soccer and inspire young athletes to continue training, not just because they have to, but because they want to. In ABFT we create an environment that encourages them to leave the comfort of their homes, put down their devices, and immerse themselves in the exhilarating world of soccer.
